Reining in the wild here with an elegant native garden kept tidy and beautiful to mimic old world English style gardening with progressive California species. This garden has very aggressive deer visitation to even some of the most deer-resistant native species, so regular enhancement plantings every year have been necessary to find the plants that withstand the deer. Previously dead lawn for the last twenty years. Show stoppers in this garden include: California brittlebush (Encelia californica), and eyelash grass (Bouteloua gracilis).
Happy gardener satisfied with the progress of this garden after a year and a half.
