Garden Design and Fine Gardening Services
Design
Design work is the most detailed approach to building a new garden and placing plant species for your garden’s unique spatial, environmental, and aesthetic qualities. I work closely with you to create a garden plan that reflects your preferences and needs, using CAD software to create a planting plan with a bird’s-eye view and species-level design. If you’re looking to build a full, new garden installation, design services are recommended.
Maintenance
Proper garden maintenance can make all the difference for your garden’s beauty and longevity. Maintenance includes pruning (hard, tip, and structural), dead-heading, weeding, and other services informed by a scientific approach. I offer fine garden maintenance monthly, semi-annually, or annually, and one-time cleanups that can revive a neglected garden.
Installation
Set up your new garden for success with thoughtful and scientific planting done with professional care. Avoid common mistakes that result in shorter plant life and garden faux pas. For larger projects, I can also work directly with a crew to make sure planting is done right. Installation includes placement, planting, mulching (or sheet mulching), and irrigation, if applicable.
Consulting
A great fit for independent gardeners or DIY types who want to do the project themselves but would benefit from professional input on plant selection, placement, or other decisions. Consulting can include generating a plant list of species appropriate for your site, plant placement on site, as well as general guidance on best practices for planting, sheet mulching, irrigation, and more.
Enhancements
Select and place new plants to fit in an already existing garden, small space, or mixed use area. Highly recommended as an annual garden upkeep for any native plant garden.
Embroidery
